What now?
How to acquire your own sculpture?
Is this sculpture for sale?
Yes, it is a limited edition piece and subject to stock availability. The number of editions in a series is dependent on size and final sale price. Once the edition is sold out, no further sculptures in this
edition can be made. If it is not currently in stock and the edition is not yet fully sold, we can recreate your piece and have it ready for delivery in eight-to-ten weeks.
Can I commission it in different size?
If the design suits the manufacturing process and doesn’t prejudice the work’s artistic merit, we can recreate the work to an agreed minimum or maximum size. The conditions that apply to limited editions remain in place.
How can I be confident that a sculpture will look and feel right in my space?
We show you detailed images of our designs and sculptures, and immerse you in a full and engaged understanding of the work you wish to acquire. We also offer a service that digitally overlays your sculpture onto photos of your proposed installation location for an accurate sense of the style and scale of the work in your surroundings.
How do you handle installation of the work?
We take responsibility for advice or actual installation whenever it is required. Smaller to medium sized sculptures usually stand on their own plinth and base. Larger works may require setting foundations or special fixings dependent on its final location. Even if we are not involved in the final installation, we often lend a consultative eye to our client’s contractor.
Do you guarantee safe delivery?
We pay meticulous attention to the handling and transport of your artwork. Our packaging is designed to withstand the most severe conditions, including falls. We also use trusted, specialist couriers. For extra peace of mind, we recommend appropriate transit insurance.
How do you guarantee your quality?
Our sculptures are made using the best processes and grades of materials so they can become legacies for the future. Providing the sculpture’s installation environment is fit for our recommendations, and that our scheduled minor preventive maintenance is upheld, there is no reason why your sculpture will not outlive you and several generations beyond.
What is your refund and return policy?
We’ve yet to receive a refund or return request in 28 years. However, in the event that you are not totally satisfied with a purchase from our range, we offer a full refund, minus packaging and shipping costs, or a credit towards another artwork.

What are the options to commission a unique sculpture?
People typically commission a unique piece from Mainartery in one of two ways:
- If your idea is interesting to our artist, they can consider a unique one-only work at an agreed price
- We can also look at a unique design as part of an agreed limited edition, where the development costs can be spread over subsequent sales.
How do I know I’ll love the custom sculpture you make for me?
By the time you commission a work from Mainartery, you’re typically fully committed to the
style and concepts behind the work. We don’t move from one stage to the next without
full approval. Our approach has consistently turned the occasional reservation into expectation
and delight when clients grasp our ability to understand their needs.

How easy is it to work with you if I’m interstate or overseas?
Many of my (our) projects are for interstate or international clients. Communications technology makes it easy not only to talk, but also to exchange visuals and virtual mock-ups of the sculpture in development, and how it will look in your location. Where substantial and valuable works are involved, the commissioning process often benefits from an initial face-to-face meeting to cement early agreement on the scope of the project, as well as a site visit during installation.

Can I hire or lease sculptures rather than buying them?
Yes. Hire or lease arrangements are useful for people involved in commercial property development and sales, facility and event management or for hotel, hospitality and corporate spaces. You can display our sculptures for a pre-determined time for a fixed fee or you can lease them for an agreed period with the option to buy, with a portion of your lease fees going toward the purchase price. Generally our offer to hire or lease sculpture applies to the state of Victoria, Australia.
What are the advantages of hiring or leasing?
Like no other art form, sculpture augments and improves the amenity of a space for everyone who uses it. Hiring or leasing a work relieves you of the often substantial price of buying a rare or limited edition work. It allows you to rotate your sculptures at regular intervals in order to refresh and renew the interest and experience of visitors to, and users of, your space. An additional advantage is that hire or lease payments are tax deductible.
How do you install sculpture without damage to the work or the location?
We have been making and installing sculpture in some of the most prestigious Australian and international locations for the past decade. We use expert transport and installation teams that
specialise in sensitive deliveries using purpose designed protective and installation equipment.
Whether it’s the home of a private collector, the foyer of a corporation or hotel, or a museum or exhibition space, we understand the risk this potentially poses to clients. As a matter of course, we maintain all the appropriate public liability insurances. We’ve never made a claim or had a claim made against us.
Do you guarantee safe delivery?
28 years of experience has informed us of how to pay meticulous attention to the handling and transport of any artworks. We use trusted, specialist couriers who keep both our sculptures and your premises from the risk of damage. For extra peace of mind, Mainartery carries appropriate insurances for Transit, Public Liability & Property damage.
How long will delivery take?
If the sculpture is in stock, and depending on size, allow seven-to-ten days to any Victorian location. Oversize sculptures may take longer to deliver and install. Contact us to discuss your best options.
What are your payment terms?
For longer terms rentals, we set up an automatic monthly payment through EFT or standard credit cards.
For short term rentals, payment is made in advance.
